Rhythm is our mother tongue. Together we take refuge in rhythm, find freedom and belonging in the dance.
The 5Rhythms®️ movement practice is meditation and medicine, healing the divide between body and spirit, between heart and mind. With no steps to learn, the practice itself is simple, and it has the power to catalyze deep healing and creative expression. All we need to do is show up, tune in and move what is alive in us.
Come and join us for our weekly community practice. (Ages 15 plus)
This coming together
to BE movement
to BE breath
to see each other
Come as you are
Dive into your embodied Self
and find your place in our circle
This circle of inclusion in which there is only
the ONE dance.”
— Bettina Rothe
“The weekly space, group and groove is a soulful rhythmic oasis – where one can dip into Self and come out resourced.”
—Jill Sharpe, Filmmaker
This is what we love about our 5Rhythms community practice… expressed by our local dancers in Vancouver:
This is a path to embodied freedom and transformation.
I can show up in this supportive community as I am and feel welcomed, loved and accepted.
I get to joyfully and authentically express my wildness or my tender edges and return home to myself again and again.
The depth of this practice and shared container we create allows for transformation and healing.
I get to celebrate my whole self in movement and the vibrancy of this exceptionally connected community.
